RN – NURSE MANAGER

Fairview Southdale Hospital has a full time opening for an RN Nurse Manager in our Post Partum department. This Nurse Manager will have 24-hour responsibility for planning, organizing, and evaluating all activities in order to provide and maintain the highest quality patient care. This leadership position is responsible for management and support of the mother-baby staff, including RNs, CNAs, and HUCs. Duties will include completing performance evaluations and responsibility for hiring. The manager works closely with the managers for Labor & Delivery and Special Care Nursery and physician partners.

Qualifications:

• MN RN license and Bachelor's degree required, BSN preferred.
• 5 years of recent perinatal experience preferred.
• Must be committed to clinical excellence, family centered care, and providing the highest quality patient-family experience.
• This role requires the ability to work in a complex, demanding work environment.
• Must be flexible and willing to work a varying schedule.
• Must be able to articulate a vision for family centered care and demonstrate an ability to build relationships.
• This individual will have demonstrated leadership abilities and process improvement knowledge and skills.
