Responsibilities:
The incumbent in this position performs the implementation of vendor-supplied software packages including the installation, customization, deployment, maintenance, and ongoing support. Develops functional specifications for software development projects and resolves complex application use issues. Plans and coordinates the client involvement in completion of related IS tasks. These functions are performed in accordance with Baystate Health's philosophy, policies, procedures, and standards.
Receives and responds to support calls from users. Log calls in Help Desk System. Uses Help Desk System to document call status and ultimately, call resolution. Plans and coordinates end user involvement in the completion of IS tasks. Keeps management apprised of progress, plans and issues via weekly status reports.
Qualifications:
Associates or BS degree in Computer Science or related field or commensurate experience. Experience in the implementation, configuration, deployment, maintenance and ongoing support of clinical applications preferred. Work experience in a clinical setting or discipline (e.g. Nursing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, etc) preferred. Understanding of the healthcare information system environment preferred. Preferred previous experience working with Sunquest Clinical Lab, Cerner Co-Path, or HCLL Bloodbank
