Requirements POSITION SUMMARY The Registered Nurse (RN) functions in a multi-faceted role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence in the practice of Nursing. The RN is responsible for maintaining high standards for a caseload of patients as described by the scope of care for the area of practice and demonstrates appropriate actions based on sound scientific research and evidence-based principles. The RN also coordinates/directs care delivered by the interdisciplinary team. The RN is accountable for compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, applicable regulatory standards, and institutional policies and procedures. The RN provides physical, emotional and spiritual support that directly/indirectly impacts the patient outcomes and care provided to patients/ families/ significant others. The Staff Resource RN is required to float to all areas of the hospital and maintain each units core competencies upon hire and annually. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Education: Graduation from accredited school of nursing Licensure: Valid Ohio Registered Nurse License Certification: Current CPR Required Experience: Registered nurse for minimum of 3 years Required At least one year of medical -surgical with telemetry nursing experience within an acute care hospital setting. Skills/Other: ACLS within 6 months of hire Required Critical Care Course completed or within 6 months of hire Required. 8 hours of Trauma Education per year Required
