General Manager – Mobile Radio Business: Telecom Connections

A very challenging position managing a well established business which provides a full line of products and services including land mobile radio, wireless telemetry and GPS/AVL. This company has been serving business and industrial customers throughout the Coastal Bend area of Texas from its headquarters in Corpus Christi for many years.

• The General Manager leads a team of technical sales and service specialists as well as office administrative staff with full P&L responsibility for the day-to-day operations of the business.
• You will have the responsibility for hiring, training, developing, motivating and providing support and leadership to employee team and will be supported by the company founder and owner.
• The strategy of the company is to offer outstanding locally owned and operated service with products from Motorola, Kenwood, EF Johnson, ICOM and other manufacturers to meet the particular needs of industrial and business customers in this area of Texas.

Desired Qualifications:

• Solid experience in general management, preferably in wireless or land mobile radio.
• Knowledge of two-way radio and land mobile radio from companies such as Motorola, Kenwood, EF Johnson and ICOM is extremely valuable.
• Proven successful history of outstanding accomplishments.
• Business / P&L management, with successful people supervision is required.
• High-energy person with competitive traits, able to motivate both sales and operations teams.
• Must have excellent ability to select, train and mentor people for success.
• Good track record of making smart business decisions taking into account what is best for the customer and for the company.
• Ideally seeking someone currently in south Texas or desiring to relocate to the area.
