General Summary: Providence Physician Division (PPD) employs Clinical Pharmacy Specialists in primary care. Collaborative primary care pharmacy services are provided as part of an innovative medical group that utilizes a cutting edge electronic health record and sophisticated disease management software.
The Department of Pharmacy recognizes the importance of participating in training programs that ensure the availability of pharmacy practitioners with expertise in the area of primary care. The residency program in Ambulatory Care is dedicated to providing the resident with the knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to pursue a practice that focuses on assuring optimal patient outcomes.
Required: Graduate from an accredited college of pharmacy. Doctorate of Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy. If not licensed at the time of initiation of the program, the resident is expected to obtain licensure from the Oregon Board of Pharmacy during the residency year.
Preferred: Completion of PGY1 Pharmacy Residency.
