CAD Technician III
Description
PURPOSE:
Maintain the master facilities drawing. Create graphic illustrations and artistic renderings and assemble technical documentation as required. Assist with the planning and execution of facilities projects. Utilize several software packages not limited to; AutoCAD, Excel, Word processing software project management software, Visio, , Acrobat Writer, Corel Draw, Corel Photopaint, Powerpoint, WinZIP and scanner software
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
· Senior reviewer for all drawings for Facilities.
· Create and edit architectural drawings and concepts from rough sketches, verbal instructions, mark-ups and occasionally must go to the source to get correct measurements from the actual building.
· Assemble technical documents according to established procedures and guidelines.
· Create graphic illustrations and artistic renderings.
· Work with all departments to ensure efficient and logical use of space, accuracy, and feasibility of plans per corporate guidelines.
· Process document change requests utilizing available applications.
· Generate reports detailing workflow activities and progresses.
· Write and revise any SOP’s that require it.
· Ensure drawings are prepared in proper format and contain correct specifications, materials, finishes and dimensions.
· Provide technical input to higher level supervisors, managers, directors, Engineers and Technicians.

· Coordinate basic projects and verify execution with external vendors
· Revise and modify existing drawings.
· Follow SOP’s and drafting standards.
Must comply with requirements of ISO 13485, ISO 14001, BSC Quality standards and BSC Environmental, Health and Safety standards and follow procedures and instructions related to these standards.
Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: to be considered for this position you must have the following qualifications: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and/or SKILLS
Associates Degree in related field or equivalent. 12-18 months related experience in drafting/design. Computer literate in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project and AutoCad applications. Demonstrated aptitude in facility/architectural design. Knowledge of ASME Y14 Standards.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: The following are qualifications that we would prefer candidates to have.
12 months experience in the medical device or similar industry
Some experience with industrial utilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
