Role: The Security Event Center Manager will lead in creating and managing the ongoing operations of a World-class Security Event Center (SEC) ensuring the ongoing protection of company assets, associates and client data. The successful candidate will collaborate with relevant security associates and outside management in driving and understanding the overall information security strategy. This position requires knowledge of risk management, incident response, information security and computing technologies as they pertain to a 24X7 operations center. Responsibilities: Manage all Security Event Center (SEC) Operations tasks. Develop and maintain the SEC functions consisting of 24X7 shifts of security operation analysts. Manage daily security event monitoring and device/alert oriented activities in the SEC with guidance on short-term projects such as upgrades, migrations, procedure creation and implementations. Services monitored and delivered include, but are not limited to SIM, IDS/IPS, Firewall, Web Content etc. Filtering, Proxy and Security Event Correlation and Reporting. Manage enterprise IT defense monitoring and scanning infrastructure and assist in communicating security infrastructure integrity and posture to applicable personnel and/or management. Establish processes to monitor and analyze and report output from various security monitoring devices and take or recommend security actions per procedures where required including incident management and daily status calls. Development of process, policies and procedures congruent with incident response and incident management. Creates and implements operations improvements to meet established objectives. Coordinate with other managers to leverage resources focused on corrective actions. Manage all TDA administrative tasks for SEC associates. Experience: Requirements: Minimum of 5+ years applicable work experience. 5+ years experience in a managerial, operational and incident response role. Conversant with security concepts and techniques. Accomplished in specific areas of planning, organization, control and leadership Ability to read and understand system data, including, but not limited to, security event logs, sys logs, and firewall logs. Experience with various security products such as Firewalls, IDS/IPS (network and host-based), VPN, VLAN, Routers, Switches, SNORT, tcpdump. Strong leadership skills to oversee multiple facilities, operations and staff. Strong human relations skills to select, develop, mentor, discipline and reward employees. Required Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or Information Security preferred.
