Application Systems Engineer: TAC Worldwide

Experience Level:

4 year degree plus 7-10 years experience.

• Acts in a high-level technical role as a designer for major computer applications utilizing a thorough understanding of available technology, tools, and existing designs.
• Works on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangible variance factors.
• Designs platforms, writes code, and develops tests. Leads multiple modeling, simulations, and analysis.
• Acts as expert technical resource to programming staff in the program development, testing, and implementation process.
• May act as project/team lead.

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong web services development on a J2EE platform with architecture/design and development expertise in Core Java, JDBC, J2EE - JSP, Servlets, EJBs, JMS and MQ Messaging, Java Web Services, Java Design Patterns, Spring, Hibernate, Struts, MVC, OO Model concepts, UML modeling, OOAD, XML, XSLT, DOM and SAX Parser, AJAX, JavaScript, HTML, DHTML, CSS, ANT, Log4J, Perl, Shell scripting, Oracle 9i+, Weblogic 8.1+, Apache Tomcat.
• Experience with performance testing/monitoring and tuning J2EE applications
• Experience with various tools including JProbe Memory Debugger, Rational Rose and LoadRunner
• Experience with version control systems ClearCase and CVS Ability to solve problems and grasp concepts quickly
• Flexibility to work on off hours on a rotational basis to support the production environment
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal skills

Preferred skills:

Web services development experience with Axis 2.0 and Spring/hibernate is preferred.
