CLINICAL MARKETING
MANAGER
Position Summary:
The position is responsible
for the development of the objective, evidence-based clinical data proof
sources and resultant overall clinical marketing strategies and direction for
Micrus. Focus will be on the creation of
tools and spokespeople to validate and support eh clinical superiority of all
Micrus products and programs.
Areas of responsibility
include but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain the overall “evidence-based
medicine” market position for the company.
Create the Clinical Marketing promotional plan.
- Identify, develop and motivate a cadre of key
leaders to routinely submit meaningful and impactful abstracts and other
materials to key scientific sessions and professional society
meetings. Align these supporters
using both a product and feature focus.
- Maintain an exhaustive calendar / schedule of all
submissions and other publication due dates in order to maximize
communications.
- Work with Product Manager(s) and Marketing
Director to identify data needs / clinical claim support activities during
both initial launch and secondary marketing activities. Provide clinical support and insight to
all product teams regarding product data or claim needs, including a
detailed clinical data plan.
- Maintain a positive relationship with worldwide
thought leaders and advance the overall positive “evidence-based medicine”
market position. Attend all
tradeshows and meetings and become an effective “ambassador” for the company.
- Consult with the Marketing group, Sales group,
R&D group, and Regulatory group to identify speakers for, or members
of, the following physician-specific activities: scientific advisory
boards, fellows course faculty, product evaluation panels, clinical
investigators, etc.
- Provide reports to Senior Staff as needed to
deliver project updates and ensure their awareness of progress towards the
“leader in evidence-based medicine” goals.
- Assist physicians in the production of materials
and publications focused on Micrus products
- Become the clinical expert for the company and
become recognized by the market as such.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (RN) with
cardiovascular training or equivalent
- Clinical training (medical school or other) or
professional clinical employment (interventional lab technician, clinical
specialist, etc.) desirable
- 8+ years in Marketing in a clinically-oriented
interventional device company
- Position requires domestic and international
travel 40% – 60% of the time
