Provide financial support, guidance, and leadership to the Harris Public Safety & Professional Communication's Engineering and Product Management Organizations. Core responsibilities will include enhancing the process and review of key engineering development metrics, along with improving the organization's resource planning focus in terms of cost, budegeting and scheduling. Provide financial models and recommendations in support of new product initiatives or IR&D investments (ROI). Support all Financial Planning and Analysis requirements for the Engineering organizations. Work with cross-functional team to improve current policy, procedures and applications (primavera). Enhance methodology to measure project success, track and monitor cost and schedule (~$65M / annum) for engineering resources with a focus on increased visibility.
Develop strategic partner relationship with Product and Engineering Directors . Provide leadership to guide and develop actions/solutions that assist the Engineering team meet their financial, operational and growth objectives by providing financial support in the development of cost/price analyses, risk and opportunity assessments, and/or financial models . Provide business recommendations, communicate critical issues / recommendations to management, along with timely and accurate financial data and metrics. Assist in the development of ROI analyses and business impact analyses to facilitate the IR&D project selection.
Provide Sr Mgt with financial metrics in regards to New Product Quote Requests Develop a reporting methodology that tracks Revenue in backlog that is coupled to NPQRs and track the value of bids/opportunities coupled to NPQRS.
Develop Sr Mgt report of key bids & upcoming opportunitie and ensure the engineering resource requirements are understood on new bids

Preferred Additional Skills:
Value Pricing, Product Cost Estimating, Contract Administration, Accounting, Advanced Excel/Database skills
