Credit & Collections Manager: Speakeasy

• Maintain and improve existing credit and collections policies and procedures
• Identify creative ways to improve front end credit scoring processes
• Identify ways to improve credit scoring procedures for sales made through indirect channels
• Assess adequacy of internal controls over credit and collections processes and make improvements thereto
• Document credit and collections internal controls consistent with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements
• Work cross-functionally, primarily with Sales and Customer Support, to improve dispute resolution procedures and reduce escalations
• Plan daily staff work in a metrically driven way that produces the most value in terms of reducing bad debt write-offs
• 3^rd part collections agency vendor management
• Responsible for large dollar decisions about write-offs and credit adjustments
• Work with external counsel on bankrupt customer situations as needed
• Provide forecast and budget data to the Financial Planning team
• Creating statistical spreadsheets, reporting and Power Points for presenting results to Executive Management
• Hire, train and manage collections team staff=

The position requires the following skills and experience:

• Accounting degree preferred, Associates Degree required
• 7 - 10 years of credit and collections experience
• 5+ years of management experience
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Advanced Excel skills
• Crystal, SQL or Access highly desirable
• Telecommunications and/or technology experience desirable
