Part-Time Tutor: Academic Resource Tutoring

Academic Resource Tutoring is Houston's largest in-home tutoring program. Academic Resource Tutoring is seeking qualified permanent Part-Time tutors (with either a teaching certificate OR a degree and previous tutoring experience) for all subject areas.

We are currently interviewing applicants who live near or around the following areas for the following assignments:

West Houston (zip code 77082) - Math and Reading tutor to work 2 hours on Saturday (mid-late morning).

We ask that you do not apply if you cannot make a serious commitment at this time. Serious candidates only!

Additional weekday tutoring assignments may be available in the near future.

Qualifications:

Applicants should be comfortable working one-on-one with students and possess either a teaching certificate OR a degree with prior tutoring experience.

Tutors must have transportation.

Tutors must be available to work 2 hours each Saturday morning (at least 2 hours between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

Tutors must be able to supply professional references and consent to a criminal background check.

We match tutors with students based on their needs and your qualifications.

Most tutoring sessions occur after school and early evenings in the safety and comfort of the student's home. Sessions range from 1 hr, 1 ½, to 2 hours with each student, we typically see most students several nights per week.
