RN- Medical / Surgical (East Texas): Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals & Clinics

The Trinity Mother Frances Medical nursing team seeks experienced nurses to join our 39-bed multi-specialty unit. Our main treatment area includes the care of medical / surgical cases, as well as Continuous Abdominal Peritoneal Dialysis (CAPD). Job Description

In this role, you will provide essential assessment on the patient’s condition and ongoing evaluation of the patient’s status, and develop care plans based on disease process, signs and symptoms, and spiritual needs/concerns. Additional duties include administering medications safely to patients and the ability to demonstrate unit-specific competencies

.About the Medical / Surgical Unit

4 Dawson is a 39-bed acute care medical nursing unit in specializing in the care of patients with medical diagnoses. Our staff cares for adolescent through geriatric patients with common medical diagnoses, such as pneumonia, acute/chronic renal failure, acute respiratory failure, CAPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, gastrointestinal illnesses, pancreatitis, and diabetes. Collaborative care teams are utilized as the delivery of care methodology. Support systems include social work, case management, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy, a clinical dietitian, and a dietary hostess.

Job Qualifications

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Nursing or completion of accredited applied science degree program in nursing. Qualified applicants will have a TX RN license & CPR certification and must obtain chemo certification within one year. Previous experience in med / surg unit is preferred.
