Position Summary
Senior Interactive Art Director needed for digital media company in Stamford , CT , specializing in corporate pharmaceutical and healthcare interactive web, kiosk, CD-ROM, DVD and video programs.
The Senior Interactive Art Director is a highly creative individual experienced in interactive advertising design and creative concepting. The Senior Interactive Art Director is expected to have solid interactive technical skills (must be hands-on) as well as directing and concept design abilities. This is someone who is passionate about design/Flash design and motion graphics, such as AfterEffects, but also someone who can make significant contributions to the overall creative process and to develop relationships both internally and with the client.
Responsibilities
- Create web design/graphics, animations, user interfaces, icons, style sheets, color schemes, templates and layouts for use in web and multimedia projects, ensuring site-wide color and typeface standards and consistency.
- Responsible for the development and design of a complete range of interactive components.
- Contribute to the creative process with original ideas and the development of creative concepts.
- Understand business needs and budget restraints.
- Manage the production process, including troubleshooting of potential problems.
- Ability to take a concept and produce creative and innovative designs.
- Strong skills in information architecture and user interaction.
- Ability to communicate and cooperate with account team, producers, creative team, and technical teams.
- Ability to partake in all aspects of the project life-cycle.
- Ability to deliver high quality work under time constraints.
- Contribute to the overall strategy with creative director.
- Contribute to the development of the creative brief.
- Supervise and direct freelance creative staff as appropriate.
Requirements:
- Strong presentation skills for internal presentations and meetings.
- Must have extensive knowledge of graphics software (including a combination of AdobeFlash, AdobePhotoshop, AfterEffects, Illustrator, Fireworks, ImageReady, and Freehand).
- Very confident with action scripting.
- Must be able to perform multiple tasks within established deadlines.
- Mac / PC literate.
Education:
· Bachelors Degree in applied arts or graphic design (or equivalent).
