Patient Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Patient Service Representative works in a local hospital evaluating uninsured patients for medical assistance (Medicaid/charity assistance programs). They connect patients with the local agencies that provide assistance programs and assist with the application process as much as possible. Work closely with the Medicaid office and Social Security Administration on behalf of patients pursuing benefits. Other duties will be assigned.

Schedule will be 12-9pm Monday thru Friday

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must have valid drivers license
• Bachelors degree is preferredbut is not required
• Must have good communication skills
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility process is preferred
• Social Services background is a plus
• Must have strong computer skills
• Bilingual applicants are encouraged to apply
