The Stress/EEG Technician cares for patients in the age ranges listed: infant, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric. The position's tasks and responsibilities include:



Manages all assigned supplies and equipment in the Stress/EEG lab.


Maintains CPR certification.


Independently assists the physician with all procedures performed in the Stress and EEG area.


Competently operates Stress/EEG equipment.


Completes all appropriate paper work for physician interpretation.


Performs Stress/EEG procedures.


Assures that patients charges are timely and accurate.


Performs miscellaneous clerical duties including filing, copying, faxing, etc.


Assists in Quality Assessment and improvement activities.


Assists as needed in other related department such as EKG and holter.


Keeps all areas clean.


Adheres to and complies with HCA's ethics and compliance policies in the Code of Conduct. Attends annual training sessions.




Prefer one year experience as a technologist or technician in Stress/EEG.


High school diploma or equivalent plus satisfactory completion of a course in EKG class.


Basic EKG completion or tested out within six months of employment.


Able to deal with stressful situations.


Able to stand for long periods of time.


Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
