New Perspectives for Care
Brattleboro, Vermont

New Perspectives, a new 6-bed, staff-secure residential treatment center, will be opening shortly to provide assistance to individuals with the goal of successful reintegration back into a community setting. Staff will help to provide individuals with skills training and tools for self management of psychiatric illnesses to promote increased sense of self-efficacy and improved quality of life.

Located in Brattleboro, VT, the residential home is in the final stages of renovation. As the completion date approaches, New Perspectives will be hiring staff for this innovative project. ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF NEW PERSPECTIVES FOR CARE
Full-time (40.00 hour) position. The successful candidate will possess a B.S. in nursing and at least six years of experience providing services to adults with serious and persistent mental illness. An M.S. in nursing is preferred. The candidate should be currently licensed as an RN. Residential experience and an understanding of psycho-social, psychiatric rehab and/or recovery-oriented services a must. Management experience in mental health/DS services is also required.

SOCIAL WORKER
Full time (40.00 hour) position. The Social Worker provides support for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness stepping down from extended hospital stays to a less restrictive community residence. The Social Worker will interface with other treatment providers, staff at Vermont State Hospital, other designated mental health agencies and resources throughout the state and community in developing treatment and discharge plans for residents. The Social Worker will perform supportive psychotherapy and crisis assistance as needed at the residence. Masters Degree in Mental Health related fi eld required, Licensure preferred. RESIDENTIAL SPECIALIST
Full-time (40.00hr) position(s) and Part-time (16.00hr) positions available on all shifts. Opportunity to join a dynamic team working in a therapeutic community for individuals with serious mental illness stepping down from Vermont State Hospital. We are looking for creative, flexible and dependable people to teach independent living skills, socialization and community integration in the Brattleboro area. Applicants with relevant bachelors degree and /or residential mental health experience preferred.

CASE MANAGER
Full time (40.00 hour) position. The Case Manager provides support to the Social Worker in coordinating services for residents, developing discharge plans and increasing the readiness of residents for independent living in less restrictive community environments. Bachelors degree preferred with experience in community mental health. Please reference position Case Manager
