Assistant Superintendent Boiler/Biodiesel (301774-601): Louis Dreyfus Corporation

Louis Dreyfus Commodities is seeking an Assistant Superintendent for our Biodiesel/Boiler team to join our soybean crushing and biodiesel plant in Claypool, Indiana. In this role, you will assist in the management of the biodiesel process. Primary function is to ensure that Biodiesel is manufactured and Utilities are supplied in a safe and efficient manner in compliance with government regulations and Company standards.

This position will complete regular checks of Biodiesel staff and equipment, maintain proper coverage by managing the Biodiesel staffing schedule, manage engineering projects effectively, maintain inventory of supplies, make improvements to maximize efficiencies, collect, record and analyze Biodiesel data, respond to issues, alarms and lead investigations as well as serve as the Quality Management Representative for the BQ9000 system. The position requires a BS degree in Engineering/Technical Science or equivalent work experience. Five years of supervisory/management experience in an industrial environment and a proven track record of successfully implementing effective production processes are required. Five years of supervisory/management experience in the manufacturing of Biodiesel from soybeans is preferred. General knowledge of continuous processing operations, strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency with spreadsheet and word processing software, (e.g., Excel and MS Word) are required. General knowledge of continuous liquid processing operations, Process Safety Management, regulatory requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA, USDA) and knowledge of ISO 9000 and BQ-9000 are preferred.
