 | Electrical Engineer - Installed Base Engineer Job Description:

Primary responsibilities include:
- Focus on design change projects to bring customer satisfaction and field service / manufacturing fulfillment.
-Redesign of specific parts or components for existing products in the Installed Base for obsolescence or better life cycle management.
-Takes ownership for design change implementation and ensures proper design transfer following GE internal procedures and policies.
-Identify key product improvement ideas working closely with service and manufacturing teams and develop design changes to improve quality/reliability of products in the Installed Base.
-Define detailed tasks within an engineering assignment and aggressively drive them forward.
-Develop depth of product understanding and be resourceful in helping solve technical problems to deliver on projects.
-Understands part failure trends etc and evolves pro-active approach to address those.
-Works pro-actively on Customer Satisfaction Opportunity (CSO), Supplier Change requests (SCR) and manufacturing issues from an engineering perspective.
-Understands reliability concepts such as Infantile / Mission failures and can develop plans to enhance product reliability.
- Collaborates with other functions to deliver the best solution for the business looking beyond organizational boundaries.
- Remain knowledgeable and in compliance with all company policies, Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety practices and proactively address issues that exist within the employee's immediate work environment.
- Team effectively with cross-functional members.
- Work with unyielding personal integrity.
Signature: ~HJ~~CB~ Qualifications -Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
-Minimum 3 years of medical device experience with design control expertise.
-Minimum 3 years of experience working on product engineering working with cross-functional teams.
-Proven track record of project execution in a 0-2 year project life cycle.
-Demonstrated ability to make independent decisions and manage conflicting priorities in a fast-paced environment driving solutions.
-Demonstrated systems thinking and problem solving skills.
-Global exposure working in a global team setting.
You must be willing to submit to a background investigation, including for example, verification of past employment, criminal history and educational background.
You must be willing to take a drug test.
You must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
You must be willing to work out of an office located in Salt Lake City, Utah.
