Director of Professional Education
Opportunity Snapshot:
Join the premier leader within the Heart Valve industry that has continued to stay a cut above the competition. This is an exceptional opportunity to be a key player within our core Heart Valve Therapy Business Unit which is a $650 million franchise. As the Director of Professional Education you will develop and execute worldwide strategic Professional Education Plan for the Heart Valve Surgical Business unit, in collaboration with regional and CSS business partners as well as lead the planning and execution of all Professional Education programs, symposia, speakers forums, lab training and summits for HVT Surgical Systems.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Develop and monitor Professional Education budget required to support goals of the business plan.
- Monitor, identify, and recommend new tools, methods or resources for adult education and training to be incorporated in the Professional Education plan.
- Determine best practices and benchmark against those to create and maintain best-in-class programs for Edwards Lifesciences.
- Develop metrics and measure effectiveness of Professional Education programs.
- Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support common goals and objectives for the business on a global level.
- Manage recruitment, contracting, training, and administration of all proctors and preceptors programs. Develop next generation preceptors globally.
- Work closely with the sales organization and clinical sales specialists to develop new training programs and materials; also assist in training these teams on new processes, products, and methods.
- Assist in competency training and testing, as required.
- Leverage regional training programs to adopt best practices globally, and to drive strategic goals.
Our Requirements:
- Minimum of ten years experience required in professional education and in a clinically focused position. Marketing experience preferred.
- Bachelors Degree is required, MBA preferred.
- Clinical degree preferred.
- Strong Global experience.
- Proven experience in adult learning and education.
- Experience with surgeons and surgical teams.
- Customer-focused individuals.
- Demonstrated Leadership skills.
- Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular surgery and cardiology.
- Excellent business acumen; especially in sales and marketing.
- Strategy development and execution.
