Gateway Energy Services Corporation is a privately held retail energy marketer supplying natural gas and electricity to residential and commercial customers in 27 deregulated markets across New York, New Jersey, Texas, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, the District of Columbia and Ontario, Canada.

As a Residential Sales Executive with Gateway Energy Services Corporation, you will be responsible for introducing and selling Natural Gas and Electricity to residential customers in a defined geographic territory.

Responsibilities:

  • Door to door marketing to acquire residential customers
  • Meet and exceed monthly sales goals
  • Daily and weekly reporting
  • Educate customers on the benefits of switching to Gateway
  • Perform sales campaigns on time and with desired results
  • Provide prospective customers with appropriate documentation (contracts, brochures, etc.)
  • Check and ensure minimum usage requirements
  • Collect and verify customer contact and point of service information
  • Complete Third Party Verification procedure
  • Maintain knowledge on all applicable pricing and value added products and services
  • Adhere to all company regulatory guidelines

Requirements:

  • Pass standard criminal background investigation
  • Pass drug test
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Strong cold calling ability
  • Be comfortable with door-to-door marketing
  • Ability to do in-home presentations a must
  • Personable results driven self starter
  • Background in residential energy (natural gas & electricity) a plus
  • Flexibility to work traditional and non-traditional hours (evenings and weekends)
  • Travel beyond assigned territory as needed (all expenses paid)
  • Must be able to work outdoors in cold and hot weather
  • Will train qualified candidates

Compensation:

  • Salary + commission

  • Monday - Friday 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM (work hours are subject to change)
