Junior Engineer: Electical or Computer

Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC) is currently hiring Junior Engineers to work in the Applied Sciences Division at the Warner Robins, Georgia, facility. Responsibilities will include investigation, analysis, specification development, and analysis of technology based solutions, including evaluation of alternatives and preparation of planning and technical documentation for recommended changes for complex electronic systems. Duties require analysis of system deficiencies including both hardware and software, hardware design, system testing and integration, software design, and software development.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the development and analysis of analog, digital, or RF electronics is required.
  • Experience with hardware and software for scientific or engineering applications is desired with a preference for airborne avionics.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a development team.
  • Knowledge of configuration management, CAD/CASE tools, airborne avionics, or standard electronics laboratory test equipment is desired.
  • Exposure to CMM or CMMI development environment is a plus.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Successful candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
  • Requires an undergraduate degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering from an accredited School or College of Engineering. A strong foundation of scientific coursework within the degree program is desired.
