Periopertiv Patient Safety Spc: University of Colorado Hospital

Job Summary

Collaborates with Perioperative leaders to develop, manage, and monitor perioperative performance improvement and patient safety initiatives. Guides the participation of staff in improving team communications, executing patient safety goals, enhancing a culture of safety and communication in the Perioperative setting. Develops, coordinates and/or manages performance improvement collaborative programs with Quality, Patient Safety and Risk specialists.
Minimum Education :BSN, current Colorado license
Minimum Experience : 3-5 years experience in the operating room, 2 years of leadership experience, including comfort with decision-making responsibilities; coaching, teaching and counseling skills; and the ability to inspire and build confidence in others and to forge alliances and garner support, communication and interpersonal skills including skills at persuasion and negotiation, experience in collecting and analyzing data.
