The FHS group is looking for an analyst with solid data analysis and database management experience to join our team in Falls Church, VA supporting the Office of Head Start (OHS). As a Data & Research Analyst, the successful candidate will assist with consulting projects that focus on analyzing data to assist OHS in making programmatic and regulatory decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assisting the data team conducting a variety of analyses using SAS and Excel
- Assisting in designing models and conducting research studies to help inform policy analysis
- Presenting data in various formats, including web-based, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
- Participating in client meetings

Qualifications Qualifications:
- 1 - 2 years of solid data analysis and database management experience
- 2 years - SAS or a similar statistical software application experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- The ability to present complex data in a simple, understandable way
- Strong analytic and critical thinking skills
- An interest in human services
- A Bachelor's degree is required
Assets:
- Head Start or early childhood program knowledge
- Consulting experience
- A background in grant writing or proposal writing
- Familiarity with public policy
- A Master's Degree
