We are seeking innovative, flexible and highly motivated 1st Year MBA students for Global Brand and US/Regional Marketing Summer Associate opportunities. In this role, you will assist with the smooth and effective implementation of marketing strategies and product development goals of assigned category/brand. You will provide overall assistance with market research and development, and be a part of developing the strategic direction of the brand.

Additional responsibilities also include:

• Manage core project team for new product development, by aligning with R&D, Engineering and Packaging.
• Provide monthly NPD/industry analysis of key categories.
• Involvement in primary research projects.
• Develop brand and product positioning statements.
• Writing effective briefs.
• Review account specific merchandising/promotional initiatives; evaluation of print/TV advertising.
• Track weekly sales of brand skus, project full year sales periodically, and identify insights and actionable plans to drive volume.
• Review account specific merchandising/promotional initiatives.
• Assist with execution of potential promotions.
• Involvement in preparation of product phasing process, including document and data generation.

Preference will be given to candidates who meet the following requirements:

• Active enrollment in a Masters Degree granting program at an accredited school; concentration in Marketing strongly preferred.
• A minimum of one year professional experience in a Marketing environment; consumer products experience a plus.
• Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint required.
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills.

Miscellaneous:

• Positions are 40+ hours per week, paid opportunities, OT eligible.
• Housing assistance not available.
• Targeted start date: June 1, 2010. Summer assignment is expected to last 13 weeks.
