Job Purpose:
This position is responsible for the coordination and completion of projects related to quality assurance and continuous improvement. and for implementing and maintaining the applicable systems required for the business to be registered to appropriate Quality Standards.
Essential Functions:
Implement and maintain systems necessary for continued registration to appropriate Quality Standards. Systems included but are not limited to Supplier/Raw Material Quality and Approvals, Document Control; Customer Complaint; Corrective / Preventive Actions. Provide testing support of product qualifications, engineering and development projects, including reporting results to the applicable functional groups. Implement, maintain and/or improve quality testing and inspection systems related to product conformance, including applicable database / software systems and qualification testing (internal and external). Support long and short term business and continuous improvement projects. . Perform Internal Audits of the quality system. Support and provide back-up for other quality control / quality assurance personnel, as required. Support Lab Safety Initiatives
Required Qualifications:
Associates Degree in an engineering / science related field.
Minimum 1 year experience within an accredited QA/QC organization of a manufacturing business.
Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis and problem solving techniques.
Moderate to advanced knowledge with computers and database management.
Must be US Citizen or Permanent Resident
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in an engineering / science related field.
Certified Internal Auditor (CQA)
Knowledge in SPC, 6-sigma and Minitab.
