Looking for Experienced Manager with health care claims experience

Blue Shield of California(BSC) is looking for a experienced Operations Manager that will be responsible for supervising a team that administers enrollment, facilitates eligibility, and reconciles premium receipts for Health Plan Members. The Installation & Membership group is focused on creating an exceptional first impression for employers, producers, and members by providing quality enrollment and new membership services. This Operations Manager may be hired at the Operations Manager or Senior Operations Manager depending upon the candidate education and experience. This Manager will be based in our Lodi Campus.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the preparation and management of budgets, goals, objectives and results for multiple functional areas.
  • Directs and controls the activities of the Installation and Membership
    department through subordinate supervisors/team leads.
  • Has full management responsibility for staff (i.e. salary actions, promotions,
    performance reviews, and disciplinary matters) in accordance with the
    organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Monitors on-going performance and communicates expectations and results.
  • Provides developmental and training opportunities for team members.
    Identifies staffing needs and objectives.
Requirements:
  • BA degree and five to seven years related leadership experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent human relations and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of on-line systems and flow of information in a high volume production environment.
  • Knowledge of health care operations and broad understanding of the industry.
  • Proven track record of: building strong relationships across organizational boundaries, overcoming challenging cross-functional issues, ability to lead/influence others.
