Responsible for sales of new business within assigned territory as well as business renewals. Works to acquire self-insured and organized labor pharmacy benefit business within the Enterprise sales channel, which includes Public Sector and UMR, and participates in account retention, including service and renewal activity. Other acquisition targets may be identified as appropriate.
- Sells new business in order to meet assigned annual sales goals, working within assigned territory and within target markets.
- Activity solicits new business within Enterprise sales channel, and via producers (brokers, consultants, etc) that have been obtained through existing candidate relationships, existing Innoviant/Prescription Solutions relationships (where they exist) and via cold-calling when necessary.
- Determines desirability of all opportunities through thorough review of all requests for proposals, comparing prospect needs and goals vs. company standards.
- Secures all pertinent information and data necessary for appropriate and competitive pricing of prospective customers.
- Explains Innoviant/Prescription Solutions capabilities and/or procedures, as necessary, to prospects and customers.
- Proposes quotations and renewals to either the prospect or producer to ensure the complete understanding of product, price, and services being offered.
- When necessary, and in coordination with Innoviant/Prescription Solutions Account Management, provides customers and producers with prompt and efficient service in a fair, courteous, and responsive manner by conducting employee meetings with clients.
- Provides periodic financial reports to contractual terms for renewals to assure satisfactory conservation of business.
- Provides market intelligence on product and service needs in the marketplace.
- Assists in sales training activities and provides appropriate training to applicable producers as well as fellow associates. Participates in community, business, and industry organizations as appropriate.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelors' Degree, or equivalent. Understanding of pharmacy benefit strategies, pricing practices, and marketing techniques normally acquired through undergraduate study and three to five years of related experience.

Job Requirements/Working Conditions:
· Work is performed in a normal office environment or telecommute.
· Ability and willingness to work irregular and unusual hours.
· Travel is required.
