Analyst will work directly with the Firm's litigation practices globally providing support



Under the direct supervision of the Manager of Practice Technology, selected candidate will be based in locally in the Washington, D.C. office and will work directly with the Firm’s litigation practices globally, providing support and technical assistance on new and existing practice systems, including in courtroom and hearing settings. Primary firm litigation applications will include Summation, Law, Livenote, Case Map, Time Map, Concordance and IPRO, Sanction, Trial Director, as well as third party electronic discovery systems. Individual will also be involved in evaluating and testing new and existing applications. The individual will be responsible for managing new project assignments as requested and prioritized by department project managers.

Duties and Accountabilities:

  • Assist in providing support for the existing litigation technology applications for all Firm locations globally.
  • Consult and answer attorney questions regarding current projects, and questions about new and existing applications.
  • Work with users and vendors on the impact of software upgrades.
  • Provide technical support for existing, new, and potential applications.
  • Work with project managers, development teams and attorneys in gathering feedback on application enhancements.
  • Work with users, developers and project managers on testing and rolling out new applications and upgrades.
  • Assist with training IS staff and end users on all Litigation Technology applications.
  • Provide ideas whenever possible to further automate litigation area tasks.
  • Work on various projects as assigned by the Manager of Litigation Technology.
  • Work with preferred vendors re: deliverable specification, data modifications and processing guidelines.
  • Provide on-site support in arbitration hearings and courtroom proceedings as needed to operate and troubleshoot trial technology such as Sanction and Trial Director.

Qualifications:

  • Self-motivated person with excellent time management skills.
  • Ability to adhere to project goals and deadlines.
  • Must be a team player who communicates and cooperates with all members of the project team.
  • Individual should have a positive attitude and ability to work well with attorneys and other IS personnel.
  • Strong technical understanding of Summation, Case Map, Time Map, Livenote, concordance, IPRO and various other litigation technology applications.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to communicate results.
  • In-depth technical skills and familiarity with law firm automation systems, specifically in the litigation practice areas.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with those of varying technical expertise.
  • Technical experience working in a law firm environment is desired.
  • Must be open to both domestic and International travel.
