Position Description:
Positions in this function are predominantly involved in developing business solutions by creating new and modifying existing web based software applications. Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting the most complex web based applications consistent with established specifications and business requirements to deliver business value.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Leads in upgrading technology, improving technical quality, and making enhancements to existing systems functionality.
- Provides technical support to customers, project managers, and developers.
- Available for production application corrective maintenance and hardware support on a 24 hour x 7 day support schedule.
- Works with management and development teams to provide technical leadership and design for project application architecture.
Qualifications Qualifications:
- 4+ years design and programming in Java/J2EE and web services
- 3+ years DB Modeling/Design in SQL Server and/or Sybase
- 3+ years IBM WebSphere Application Server experience
- Competency to use advanced modeling tools such as Rational Rose
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or the equivalent
- US Citizenship is required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Assets:
- Healthcare experience is a plus
- Facets experience is a plus
- SQL Server SSIS packages is a plus
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
