Job Description

We are currently looking for an Assistant Director of Nursing Services to coordinate all functions, activities, and training related to the Nursing Services department. This person will assist the Director of Nursing Services in the overall operation of the department. This position is located at our 115 bed snf in Meadville.

Duties of this position include, but are not limited to the following:

• Coordinate and manage overall operations of the Nursing Services Department in accordance with company policies, nursing standards, and governmental regulations
• Be on call for emergencies that supervisors aren’t able to handle
• Ensure that residents have a clean, comfortable, orderly, and safe environment
• Investigate, prepare documents, and present information pertaining to residents with Medicare, Medicaid, and other forms of insurance.
• Participate in, monitor, evaluate, and make recommendations regarding human resource and training procedures

Job Requirements

Candidates for the Assistant Director of Nursing Services position should meet the following requirements:

• Must be a Registered Nurse in good standing and currently licensed by the state
• Ability to relate positively and favorably in all interactions
• Experience in performance management, effective leadership, and appropriate and constructive delegation
• Meeting all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required, including drug screening, criminal background investigation and reference inquiry
