Sr. Clinical Research Associate
Opportunity Snapshot:
Selected candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Develops and maintains liaison and oversight among outside physicians, supporting staff, administrators including clinical investigators, medical educators, and department heads in medical schools, affiliated hospitals, state and/or government hospitals, and research institutions to initiate and expedite clinical studies.
• Responsible for managing the direction, planning, execution, and interpretation of clinical trials/research and the data collection activities. Establishes and approves scientific methods for design and implementation of clinical protocols, data collection systems and final reports. Monitors adherence to protocols and determines study completion. Interacts with various inside/outside groups to facilitate clinical trials research.
• Supports cases in the operating room including training of OR staff on handling and use of investigational devices.
Our Requirements:
Prior hands-on clinical research experience encompassing all aspects of the clinical process is preferred for the Clinical Research Associate II level, a minimum of three years of experience is required and a minimum of four years for the Senior Clinical Research Associate.
A bachelor’s degree in a related biological or life science discipline, or a nursing degree is required. A master’s degree in biological or related medical science is preferred.
Additional experiences and skills:
• Experience working with high recruiting volume sites is preferred.
• Clinical research Certification is strongly preferred, RN/ ACRP cert. (Clinical coordinator/ CRA certified).
• Understanding of medical device regulatory documents/ device accountability/ adverse events reporting.
• Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, patho- physiology.
• Ability to communicate and relate well with key opinion leaders and various clinical personnel within the OR.
• Demonstrable excellent written and verbal communication skills, presentation skills, interpersonal skills and analytical skills are a must.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft office suite and able to travel both domestic and internationally 30-50%.
