Seller Accountant: West Valley Staffing Group

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

· Understand seller contract terms and conditions

· Responsible for verification of commissions, fees and miscellaneous charges on seller statements.

· Responsible for verifying that equipment has been paid for, liens identified or released and titles received for items sold on auction.

· Responsible for payment to seller’s of auctioned equipment

o Sets up seller’s payable in General Ledger

o Makes payment through either wire or company check in general ledger

o Sends Seller wire payments using the on-line banking system

o Works with Lien Specialist to make payment to lien holders as necessary

· Is the direct interface and works closely with Territory Managers, Sales Coordinators, CCA’s & management related to Seller questions & issues

· Tracks expense information for “make ready” costs related to Seller contracts

· Reconciliation of various balance sheet accounts

· Reconcile inventory packages for guarantees and purchases

· Prepare spreadsheet analysis and other support as necessary

· Will be cross- trained for other finance functions

· May do special projects

· Make advance payments for guarantee contracts and other situations (i.e. lienholders).

Education and Experience Required:

· BS/BA in Accounting required

· Must have five or more years experience in the general accounting or a business analysis related area.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

· Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required in order to interface with both internal and external customers.

· Must have intermediate to advanced Excel skills

· Very strong attention to detail and the ability to work in an unstructured environment are essential for success in this role.

· Must be self motivated and be able to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

· Strong organizational and time management skills are essential to ensure prioritizing the workload.
