Patient Service Representative

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Patient Service Representatives work in a hospital with uninsured patients on their public assistance (Medicaid/charity) applications. We work as a liaison between the patients and state/Federal agencies to secure medical assistance program eligibility. Local travel is required. You must be willing to drive your own car and be willing to conduct home visits with patients and assist in completing applications for assistance. The successful candidate will also provide reports and communicate updates on patient accounts to our clients as requested. Other duties will be assigned by management.

The hours are full-time, Monday-Thursday 10:30am-9:00pm.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Degree is preferred but is not required
• Experience in social services is a plus
• Working knowledge of Medicaid eligibility requirements is helpful
• Experience with disability cases through the Social Security Administration is a plus
• Strong customer service skills are required
• Bilingual skills are a plus
• Some travel may be required
• Must have valid driver's license and be willing to drive your own car
• Must be willing to work evenings
