Position Summary The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of the Human Resource functions of Autonomy’s U.S. operations. This includes, but is not limited to: employee relations, recruiting and retention, performance management, compensation, benefits, and HR policies and procedures. In addition to overseeing the operations of the HR function in the US, the incumbent will have the opportunity to implement initiatives that will support a growing and changing environment.
Essential Functions
• Advise and consult with business leaders and HR employees to ensure consistency in the application of human resources practices, policies and programs.
• Provide HR expertise to and manage the implementation of programs in the areas of compensation, benefits, staffing, performance management, employee communications, etc.
• Be a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, managers, and employees; exercise good judgment in balancing their needs with the business needs of the Company.
• Manage the HR function in the U.S., and partner effectively with International HR colleagues.
• Provide business partner support to employees and managers; address issues and drive strong employee performance. Keep a pulse on the health of the organization and provide feedback to senior executives.
• Consult with senior executives on change management and culture initiatives; provide practical solutions to organizational issues.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• BS/BA degree and a minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible HR experience.
• Experienced HR Business partner, with a generalist background.
• Demonstrated experience in managing people
• Demonstrated experience engaging senior leaders and gaining credibility as a subject matter expert.
• Proven success in project management and implementation skills.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply sound employee management practices; coach/advise managers and HR staff through difficult and complex situations.
• Strong multitasking skills with the ability to toggle between tactical day to day work and higher level strategic activities. Must be willing and able to roll up your sleeves and jump in where needed.
• Excellent critical thinking and analytical skills.
• Ensure compliance with all Federal, State, and local laws for employee practices and policies, salary and wage administration, and required training. .
