POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Standard Hours: 8-Hour Day Shifts, 9-5:30 weekends included.
POSITION REQUIRMENTS
Education -
·High School graduate or GED preferred
·Graduate of a medical assistant or lab assistant school preferred
·California State Phlebotomy certification.
·Current CPR
Skills -
·Must have legible handwriting
·Knowledge of spelling, grammar and basic arithmetic
·Demonstrated skills in dealing with the public and telephone courtesy
·Ability to work with a team and prioritize work
·Ability to read product of others, computer/monitor screens, and computer printouts
·Performs mathematics calculations
·High level of concentration and attention to detail
Experience -
·6 - 12 months Receptionist experience
Work Conditions -
·Primarily inside work
·Frequent interruptions
·Moderate exposure to communicable disease and blood borne pathogens
·Rare exposure to toxic substances such as radiation, nuclear isotopes and chemotherapeutic agents
Physical Requirements -

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
1.Performs clerical duties
2.Performs patient and charge entry data
3.Demonstrates knowledge of the admitting procedure
4.Assists the Staff Nurse with management of patient care
5.Performs phlebotomist functions
6.Demonstrates knowledge of the organization of the clinics
7.Demonstrates communication and documentation skills
8.Performs venipuncture or skin puncture on all patients
9.Other duties as assigned
POSITION SUMMARY
Performs specific clerical and receptionist duties, coordinates departmental communication and assists with department and selected patient care related activities as necessary for the function of the department. This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the Mission of the Organization. It is expected that the employee demonstrate behavior consistent with the Core Values. The employee shall support the Organization's strategic plan and the goals and direction of the Performance Improvement Plan (PIP).
