Business Process Analyst Description

- Research, review, and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and develop strategies for enhancing or further leveraging these processes.
- Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives for improving processes in operating systems across the organization.
- Communicate process changes, enhancements, and modifications – verbally or through written documentation – to management, peers, staff, the client and other employees so that issues and solutions are understood.
- Create functional specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
- Liaise with various business groups in the organization to facilitate implementation of new or improved business processes.
- Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new processes, and other post-implementation support.
- During project implementations, work on weekends/late hours to ensure a successful implementation
- Provide guidance and/or instruction to junior staff members as well as receive guidance and/or instruction from co-workers and seniors
- Complete system configuration/setup as assigned.
- Develop an in depth understanding of financial aid and the PeopleSoft system to be able to provide support and troubleshoot system issues.
QUALIFICATIONS - Minimum of two years experience with Title IV preferred, but not required
- Must possess excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Experience with PeopleSoft, Oracle, OSIRIS and Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook. preferred
- Must be able to work flexible hours and some weekends due to project implementation schedules.
- Strong technical and/or PeopleSoft knowledge preferred
- Ability to commute back and forth from ACS/AFS to University of Phoenix.
- Project management experience preferred
- Bachelors Degree or higher preferred
- Presentation skills or public speaking skills preferred
