Mercer Engineering Research Center (MERC) has an immediate opening for experienced Engineers with an aircraft and related mechanical equipment background in the Reliability & Human Engineering Division at the Warner Robins, Georgia, facility.
Duties of the position include:
- Participating in a dynamic team of skilled engineers in reliability and maintainability analysis.
- Maintenance planning for aircraft structures, systems, and related maintenance equipment.
- Planning and execution of Reliability Centered Maintenance processes.
- Creating and validating aircraft preventative maintenance programs and design engineering of aircraft and mechanical systems.
- Project task determination, planning.
- Execution of tasks most of which have well established clear precedence and standard methodology.
- Independent research and investigation to set clear standards.
Position Requirements include: 1) Undergraduate degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Mechanical preferred) from an accredited School or College of Engineering and 9 years related experience including 2 years program management, or a Masters degree in the same area and 6 years related experience including 2 years program management; or Ph.D. degree in the same area and 3 years related experience including 2 years program management experience. 2)Four years of technical lead supervision experience. 3)Proficiency in data analysis and reporting using Microsoft Excel and Access. 4) Applicant is a U.S. Citizen 5) Successful candidates must be capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD security clearance.
Desired qualifications include: 1) Previous work experience in E8 JSTARS aircraft maintenance. 2) Previous work experience with other USAF aircraft maintenance or structural integrity programs. 3) Experience in reliability engineering and analysis of aircraft components and mechanical systems. 4) USAF active duty experience.
