Houston company seeks a Senior Accountant - SEC Reporting



Summary: You will be the right hand to the Corporate Controller and CFO in this high visibility SEC financial reporting role for this stable Galleria area publicly traded company!

Description: You will be responsible for quarterly SEC reporting, monthly review of consolidated financials including review, analysis, account reconciliation and adjustments to financials and monthly close. You will interface with operations management to obtain info and provide explanations of budget variance analysis. You will serve as liaison with external and internal auditors regarding information requests and owner of SOX compliance controls within your functional area of responsibility.

Requirements: Your 5+ plus years Accounting experience with a general understanding of SEC reporting and corporate financial reporting either gained in a public accounting audit role with SEC clients and / or in a corporate role. You should possess a general knowledge of accounting software and strong Excel skills. Experience with Great Plains and Hyperion Essbase a plus!

You should have a passion for your work, be a detail oriented, take charge goal oriented individual with a sense of urgency.
