North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC) is a licensed 398-bed, Level II trauma center (with flight transport), acute care facility with approximately 3100 employees. In 2007, NCMC was designated a Magnet status facility for nursing excellence, one of only 250 hospitals nationwide to achieve this honor. Greeley, Colorado, a community of 90,000 and the home of the University of Northern Colorado, is located 50 miles north of Denver along the Front Range of the spectacular Rocky Mountains. Responsibilities:

The Emergency department at North Colorado Medical Center (NCMC) is proud to serve the emergency care needs of the residents in Greeley and the surrounding area. Featuring board-certified emergency physicians, specially trained nurses, and support staff, North Colorado Medical Center's Emergency department is well-equipped to diagnose and treat specific injury or illnesses. This position has administrative responsibility for multiple North Colorado Medical Center services and departments. NCMC is a level II trauma center and services northern and eastern Colorado, southern Wyoming and western Nebraska and Kansas. Responsible for coordinating services with other leaders and administrators, and other Banner staff. Customers of this position are both internal and external, including Banner leadership, Banner employees, medical staff, regulatory agencies and the community. Creates a region wide focus of performance improvement and quality management. Responsible for leading assigned operational planning consistent with Banner priorities to identify and reach short and long term goals.



Qualifications:

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a strong knowledge of healthcare as normally obtained through the completion of a master's degree in nursing.
  • Current RN license in Colorado or ability to obtain before beginning employment.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Emergency Services management as normally demonstrated through 3-5 years of progressive care management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and/or managing strategic clinical operations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Demonstrated strong decision-making and critical thinking skills along with the ability to lead change.
