Manager, Business Operations Competitive Salary plus bonus4 positions-Ohio(Columbus), Indiana(Evansville), and Kentucky (Lexington and Louisville) POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for directing business
operations activities including financial analysis and budgeting, the
development and oversight of business processes, expense control and line
management of specific operational areas. Assists in the formulation of
operating unit strategies that will decrease operating expenses and increase
cash flow. RESPONSIBILITY: This position will work with and
have influence over operations district wide to reduce expense and increase cash
flow. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES NEEDED: · Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting or Business or equivalent experience. · 3-5+ years’ experience in financial and operational capacities. · Minimum of 3 years Management experience. · Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with at all levels of the organization. · Strong Analytical and interpretive ability is required. · Experience with inventory and cash balancing a plus. · Proficient in MS Excel and Word. · Proficient in report writing tools. · Detail oriented with proven multitask ability Strong leadership skills both in direct and matrix environments
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: I. Financial Analysis & Budgeting · Prepare and analyze actual financial results (monthly, quarterly, year-to-date) versus budget, quarterly forecast and prior year results. · Prepare other financial and statistical analyses, such as revenue and expense variance, trend analysis, and rate volume analysis, etc. · Create reports and perform analysis on key performance indicators within district using various software applications including Hardmetrics, Aspect, ICOMS, Lawson, Salesforce and other databases and reporting tools. · Make continuing business recommendations based on analyses. · Prepare detailed operating and capital budgets and reforecasts. · Track and control capital expenditures, working closely with technical and operations personnel. II. Oversee Business Processes · Ensure compliance with company internal control policies and procedures. Strengthen and monitor areas of weakness. · Oversee all quarterly Sarbanes Oxley testing and compliance. · Provides detailed financial reports for Federal, State and local requirements. · Oversee cash flow of customer payments ensuring timely deposits. III. Expense Management · Manage all other controllable expenses for the district and make recommendations for cost savings. · Invoice control: ensure proper coding, approval and timely payment. · Assist accounting department in monthly expense accruals. · Assist in management of contractor billing ensuring accuracy of amounts billed and coding. · Work closely with technical and customer service departments to provide reports monitoring productivity and overtime. · IV. Operational Management · Manage computer/telephone/network support & billing systems district-wide. · Manage warehouse activities including CPE control, receiving and issuing materials and supplies from the warehouse, maintaining proper inventory controls and assisting in maintaining proper stock levels · Manage purchasing activities including consists of individuals responsible for maintaining proper stock levels of materials and supplies, purchases for projects as needed, and maintains project budgets. .
