Are you seeking a position that will allow you to utilize your talents as a seasoned art director? Do you appreciate the sense of accomplishment that comes from managing a small graphic design team? Can you sell the product to discriminating colleagues? If so, ASCO is seeking you. The position of Multimedia Development Manager offers a unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of print, online, and multimedia design. This position manages programs in support of creative services provided to all departments at ASCO, the leading professional organization representing physicians who treat people with cancer.
Responsibilities include:
· Serving as lead in determining design direction for all projects
· Investigating, assessing, recommending, and overseeing vendors in support of graphic design services
· Managing ASCO’s electronic and graphic design project team
· Developing and administering timely and efficient design processes and work flows
· Communicating project status to all internal customers and vendors
· Liaison between stake holders, designers, and outside vendors
· Developing and monitoring project budgets; reviewing vendor invoices and ensuring timely processing
To qualify for this position, the candidate must possess:
· M.A. (or related experience) in graphic or product design, project/traffic management or relevant field
· 5-7 years related experience in a creative design environment, supported by a substantial creative portfolio
· Proficient in all Mac-based and Adobe graphic software
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to foster strong professional relationships at all position levels
· A work style that is effective in either a team or independent environment that is deadline driven and focused on results
