Floating Patient Service Representative (part-time)

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Patient Service Representative works in local hospitals screening uninsured patients for medical assistance (Medicaid/charity assistance programs). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing coverage at several different hospital locations in the Columbus/Gahanna area. They connect patients with the local agencies that provide assistance programs and assist with the application process as much as possible. Some travel will be required. The ability to work a flexible schedule is required as this position may require covering for a variety of shifts. Other duties will be assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Must have good communication skills
• Experience with Medicaid eligibility process is preferred
• Social Services background is a plus
• Customer Service experience is a plus
• Bilingual skills are preferred
• Some travel is required
• Must be willing to drive your own car
• Must have a valid driver's license
• The successful candidate must be willing to work part time weekends
