External Description: NOT A RESIDENT OR NEW GRAD POSITION
POSITION SUMMARY: The Registered Nurse is accountable for the delivery and supervision of safe quality care and follows the nursing process in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation). The Registered Nurse is accountable for delegating selected functions to members of the health care team, supervising others to whom he/she has delegated nursing functions and evaluating outcomes of care provided by the health care team.The Registered Nurse assists in orientation, training, and education of personnel.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: A graduate of an NLN accredited registered nurse program.
Licensure/Certification: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington, with annual renewal required. NRP certification must be obtained and kept current. Current BLS Certification required upon hire. NRP required upon hire for RNs experienced in Labor and Delivery and by the end of the 16 week residency for new RNs or no experience in Labor and Delivery.
Experience: One year recent nursing experience in an family birth preferred.
Equipment/Skills: Fetal Monitors, warmers, IV pumps.
