- Responsible for providing recommendations for correcting sub-optimal network configurations and implementations.
- Coordinate with appropriate Local Area Network personnel and local leadership to approve and oversee configuration changes.
- Provide remote support to advise and assist field locations in the same way by phone, video teleconference and/or electronic mail.
- Provide rapid response (Strike Team) support to sites in the form of telephone consultation, remotely logging on to/accessing the system and troubleshooting problems, or by deploying to the field locations within 48 hours of the request.
Qualifications:
- Successful candidates should have a Bachelors degree in Computer Science (or similar technical field) and 2 years relevant professional experience; or commensurate education and experience.
- Possess and maintain a current MCSE 2000, MCSE 2003, or a subsequent MCSE, or equivalent certification established by Microsoft and linked to subsequent generations of MS products in use by the Air Force.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Previous experience supporting a Government customer is preferred.
This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Secret security clearance. In order to obtain a clearance you need to be a U.S. Citizen and show proof of citizenship.
