Qualified Mental Health Provider: District 19 CSB
District 19 Community Services Board is seeking Qualified Mental Health Professionals for the Therapeutic Day Treatment Programs located in Emporia and Sussex, Virginia. Incumbents will be responsible for providing a wide range of services to SED/at-risk children and adolescents to improve their ability to function successfully in school and prevent placement in a more restrictive educational environment.
Essential duties for this position include: providing behavior medication in the school setting, daily individual and group counseling, completing documentation per Medicaid standards and the ability to work collaboratively with school personnel.
Successful applicant must meet the qualifications of a Qualified Mental Health Professional(QMHP) as defined by Medicaid, and have a valid VA Driver’s License with acceptable driving record, and availability to work as needed between the hours of 8:00a.m. and 4:00p.m. Preferred qualifications include experience working with seriously emotionally disturbed children and adolescents; experience providing individual and group therapy; a working knowledge of child mental health issues and diagnosis; crisis intervention experience, and clinical record documentation skills.
This position is hourly, with no benefits. Starting hourly rate is $15.18 per hour.
