Practice Team Lead, Microsoft Infrastrcuture Team
As the Practice Team Lead, you will direct a group of pre/post-sales technologists, solution architects, and implementation specialists within a specific geographic area.
Your ability to lead, motivate, and direct a workgroup in a matrix environment will enable you to serve as a technical/managerial liaison between the Senior Practice Manager and the field employees.
You will be part of the National Application Development Practice and will work closely with the Senior Practice Manager to provide input into the development of standard practices, procedures, and strategies.
As part of your project delivery responsibilities you will participate when needed as a technical expert in pre-sales qualification.
You will design, develop, and articulate solutions based on a customer's strategic business or technical requirements.
You will lead the implementation with responsibility for the delivery of the technical architecture designs, strategies, and quality assurance plans that will be delivered.
You will work closely with Project Managers and Program Managers in the design, development, and implementation of the technical content defined in the Statement of Work.
You’ll create project status reports and accurately track/manage project issues and risks.
As part of your management responsibilities, you will monitor employee job performance through direct observation, coaching, counseling, and motivation.
You will assist the local Managing Principal with recruiting and hiring employees in order to support growing and driving the region’s business.
You will ensure employees are aware of on-going classroom, OJT, and WEB-based training opportunities. You will collaborate with other managers on the development of project management, solutions architecture, and implementation policies, procedures, standards, and strategies.
You will collaborate with the sales and delivery teams to ensure the timely execution of project milestones and deliverables.
As part of EMC’s Total Customer Experience, you will hold responsibility for achieving the EMC Bar of Excellence as the highest level of Customer Satisfaction for every customer. You will develop and cultivate strong customer relationships ensuring a "Customers for Life" relationship.
Required Skills
· 10+ years of experience in the architecture,analysis, design, implementation, and support of enterprise level Microsoft Infrastrcutures
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Technologies technologies including Exchange 2007, Active Directory, SQL as well as other technologies in the Microsoft Stack
· Knowledge of EMC Storage technology and VMWare
· Pre- and post-sales experience (proposal development, participation in sales calls)
· Excellent client facing and presentation skills along with excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Team leadership experience
· Some out of region travel is required
