Area Sales Manager II-87764 Description Description:
The Area Sales Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of Account, Territory and Specialized Sales and Sales Support resources involved in obtaining their assigned team sold quota and revenue growth objectives. This role is expected to ensure that sales methods, approaches, and account development strategies are formulated and executed to capitalize on district revenue opportunities and customer retention requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
· Achieve assigned targets for Sold Quota from current PB users, competitive and non-users from all lines of business and, where applicable, ensure the optimization of Global Strategic Account Quota.
· Set clear direction, expectations and measurements; including strict adherence to the SEP process, execution of sales activity, reporting and business processes requirements
· Achieve assigned revenue growth targets within product mix
· Address team activity and performance problems promptly through constructive, actionable feedback using strict adherence to the SE performance process and use of Monthly Improvement Plans (MIPS)
· Create measurable performance improvement action/development plans
· Ensure the retention of existing revenue streams of Pitney Bowes customers
· Monitor daily, sales activity reporting of all sales representatives, specialists
· Ensure that sales activities with Tele-sales Account Management (TAM) accounts are executed consistent with our operating agreement
· Perform weekly Sales Effectiveness Planning sessions with sales representatives
· Develop a staffing plan that ensures team is fully staffed at all times
· Ensure timely/accurate recording, tracking and reporting of sales activities and results through daily usage of sales tools and adhere to standardized processes for forecasting of monthly results
· Hire and retain motivated sales personnel, based on district staffing model
· Ensure sales are skilled in selling principles, team selling, client relationship management and building follow-on sales
· Identify and remove team-selling impediments. Design and maintain incentives that will motivate the sales team
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of successful business-to-business sales experience in the mailing industry.
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- The ability to coach, counsel, and motivate employees within a team environment?
- Previous sales or sales management experience
- Excellent computer skills including MS Office Suite
