Chief Operations Officer: Amazon Hose and Rubber Co.

The highly qualified candidate we seek will lead our strategic growth and development and is a bright, analytical, organized, decisive, solutions-oriented leader who can function pro-actively and efficiently with drive and persistence in a family-oriented entrepreneurial environment. With a blend of duties and full P & L accountability, this interesting position is ultimately responsible for the overall profitability of the company including, but not limited to: long and short-range strategic planning, operational efficiency/standardization, top line sales growth and sales force development, new product development, enhancing infrastructure, customer/supplier relations and retention, and employee/leadership development. This position reports to the President and is located at our home office in Orlando, Florida.

The ideal candidate will possess absolute integrity and credibility, discretion, good judgment, a sense of humor , professionalism, and the ability to communicate effectively with many different constituents. The right individual will also be friendly, organized, and assertive (in a pleasing way!) with a sense of urgency and the ability to build consensus and motivate others while facilitating healthy change and respect for the culture. This position requires a Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 5 years of proven, successful C-level experience in a multi-million dollar geographically diverse operation AND a minimum of 10 years proven, successful experience in the industrial products distribution industry, with 5 or more of these years strongly preferred in the hose and accessories field. Must have proven ability to attract, coach, and retain talent. Strong technological skills required; Tribute software experience preferred. Must be willing to travel frequently between Florida locations.
