We are EMC, where information lives. Job Description Overview Responsible for implementing client projects for configuration of standard and custom developed software. The incumbent will have a successful track record of implementing custom software projects. Major Duties Technical solutions project manager The role will: · Be part of a delivery team for delivering client projects within a formal methodology framework. · Using knowledge of IT Service Management and the Infra products to assist clients in the configuration and deployment of the Infra products. · Working with project management methodologies to ensure that client objectives are met on-time and within budget. · Update project documentation. · Define and document client customization requirements. · Work with clients to build good relations, to ensure future engagements and reference accounts. · Deliver roles based and formal classroom product training · Advise customers regarding design and configuration of, Work-flow, Business rules, Interface design, and Reporting Project management The role will: · Develop and deliver projects in a constructive manner within the constraints of time and budget. · Use project planning tools and methodologies as prescribed by Infra. · Provide project management both on-site at client locations, and remotely. · Understand requirements and scope of client project during the pre-sales effort and upon completion of negotiations · Develop project scope documents to clearly define the life cycle and content of a project · Develop project plans detailing milestones and deliverables that will be met during the project and the time phase for each · Define the resources that will be required to meet a project; these will be client, internal, and third party · Develop and monitor documentation required to complete a given project · Develop and monitor project budgets · Define project risks, and appropriate actions to minimize these, both at initiation of project and on an on-going basis · Act as a Single Point Of Contact for all changes to project scope, budget, and timeline · Always be a champion of Infra. · Define what constitutes project closure and client sign-off, and achieve this
